Our Attorneys

Sean Schaefer is the firm’s Chief Trial Counsel and manages the Personal Injury Division of Peknic, Peknic & Schaefer, LLC. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from St John’s University and graduated law school from the City University of New York at Queens College. After graduating law school Sean went on to work at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney.

After handling numerous criminal prosecutions, he took a position at a prestigious litigation firm and soon became lead trial litigator and within three years was promoted to Partner status.

In 2006 Sean joined Charles and Brian Peknic and formed the current firm, Peknic, Peknic & Schaefer, LLC. Sean’s vast trial experience as a Civil Litigator has taken him into the Court Rooms of Kings, Queens, Bronx, New York, Richmond, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Rockland, and Orange Counties, and other counties as far north as the Canadian border. Sean is admitted to the New York State Bar and various Federal Courts, including the Eastern, Southern, and Northern Districts of New York and is a member of the Nassau County and Brooklyn Bar Associations. Sean spends his free time with his wife and two children and also as acting Co-Counsel to the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 17; Vice President of the Long Beach Lawyers Association; President of the Historic West End Business Owners Association; Board Member of the Long Beach Bulldog Football program, and a youth football coach.
