Charles Peknic
Charles Peknic is the managing partner of the firm’s Corporate, Real Estate, and Criminal divisions, and has been a member of the New York State Bar since 1994. Charles received a B.A. degree in mathematics from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and received his Juris Doctorate degree magna cum laude from New York Law School in 1993.
Upon graduating, Charles joined the Bronx District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney, and for more than six years prosecuted cases on behalf of the people of Bronx County. He completed his employment as one of only nine ADA’s assigned to the Homicide/Housing Task Force, and conducted numerous jury trials to verdict, including homicide and wire tap narcotic criminal cases. Charles began the practice of complex corporate, real estate, and criminal litigation upon leaving the Bronx District Attorney’s Office.
Charles now represents both small and large corporations in all aspects of their legal needs, as well as lending institutions and co-operative corporations in various real estate matters. Charles also represents individuals for conventional real estate issues, and continues to represent clients in all aspects of the criminal law. Charles is a member of New York State and Nassau County Bar Association, co-counsel for the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Board of Trustee of the Long Beach Lawyers Association, and a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
