Sean Schaefer
Sean Schaefer is the firm’s Chief Trial Counsel and manages the Personal Injury Division of Peknic, Peknic & Schaefer. He is a former United States Marine and received his Bachelor of Science degree from St John’s University. He graduated law school from the City University of New York at Queens College and went on to work at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney. After handling numerous criminal prosecutions he took a position at a prestigious litigation firm and soon became lead trial litigator and within three years was promoted to Partner status.
In 2006 Sean joined Charles and Brian Peknic and formed the current firm, Peknic, Peknic & Schaefer. Sean’s vast trial experience as a Civil Litigator has taken him into the Court Rooms of Kings, Queens, Bronx, New York, Richmond, Nassau Suffolk, Westchester, Rockland, and Orange Counties, and other counties as far north as the Canadian border. Sean is admitted to the New York State Bar and various Federal Courts, including the Eastern, Southern, and Northern Districts of New York and is a member of the Nassau and Brooklyn Bar Associations, is Co-Counsel to the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Vice President of the Long Beach Lawyers Association, Vice President of the Historic West End Business Owners Association, Treasurer of the Long Beach Bulldog Football program, and a youth football coach.
